It all started with a tangerine. I'd managed to get the peel off all in one piece, and then I had The Thought: I could make this out of felt....

Then I thought that if I blended the colors better, I could get a more realistic result.

I was right. blending some yellow into the screaming orange, and changing the "method" of peeling produced a quite convincing artificial orange peel.
