Officers reports

Seneschal:

• Still looking for ideas on what to paint on the Baronial pavilion. Get ideas to Their Excellencies or Sabi ASAP. Raizel and Sabi will be finishing the sunshade on Sunday morning.

Marshal:

• report given by His Excellency Callaghan. Lots of new people have been attending fighter practice. Deadline for letters of intent for Marshal were due tonight. Interviews will be scheduled in the next couple of weeks.

Archery Marshal

• Practices continue with lots of attendance. Plans are in place for lots of fun at Cattle Raids.

Treasurer

• A sign up sheet for troll shifts for Cattle Raids was passed around.

A&S

• Activities for the next A&S nights will be announced at a later time. All the pouches for Cattle Raids site tokens were completed at the last A&S night.

Chronicler

• Runestaff deadline is Aug 30 at 6pm
• deadline for letters of intent is 9/15/06.

Herald

• Rosa has found and purchased a wonderful out of print heraldry book. This is one of the reference books that doesn't need copies when submitting your name.

Interest groups

• Scribes will be meeting 8/18, 8/31, 9/15 and 9/29 7:30-10pm at Isabeau and Carlo's house
• Music will be practicing 8/31 at Volkmar and Isadora’s house
• Brewers Much fun and learning was had by all that attended the Mead 101 class on 8/4. No meeting scheduled at this time.
• Middle Eastern Drumming will be meeting 8/21 starting at 7:30 at Marianna & Scipio’s house.
• Keep currently working on Big Red Welcome which will be this Sunday 8/20 before UN-L starts in the fall. They have been working on chail mail key chains and tablet woven key chains to give away. This year their numbers are sufficint so no assistance is needed from the barony.

Baronage report

• Baronial A&S championship will be on October 28th. Still need an event steward. Master Demetrius will be in attendance. He will be have an A&S competition…Any thing Byzantine (documentation is highly encouraged). (note: 1 bid as been recieved...other bids are still welcome)
• Looking for new Gold Key and Crash Space coordinators. If interested please let Their Exellencies or Sabi know. (note: Marianna is the new Gold Key and will be picking up the loaner garb soon)
• Her Excellency Calien requests that you give her a list of items you need from the storage unit for Cattle Raids ASAP.
• Personal note from Her Excellency...Open House for new day care will be this Saturday 8/19 form 9-4, come and check out the place. Open for business on Monday.
• Conquistador’s Folly will be having about 10 people from Fox Hollow from the Outlands in attendance.

Up coming event:

Cattle Raids:

• There will be a walk-through of site on 8/17. If interest meet there at 6:30. (note: walk through has been changed to Monday 8/21 at 6:30
• Schedule for the day is still pending Their Majesties schedule for the day.
• Looks like the fighters will have shade for some of their fighting.
• We were mentioned in the newsletter that Isak Walton puts out.
• Alywen will be on site Friday 8/25 at noon to start set up for the event.

miscellaneous:

• Countess Isadora has stuff for purchase and just up for grabs. The items will be on her porch on Saturday. Come by and make her an offer.
