Seneschal:

Still looking for ideas on what to paint on the Baronial pavilion. Get ideas to Their Excellencies or Sabi ASAP.

Robert will not be in town so unless Erik the Quiet can be there, there will be no practice on 8/8/06.

Treasurer

no report from the new Treasurer, Etienette.
past Treasurer, Cat states we spent money this last quarter. The sunshade and pavilion were purchased. The pavilion is an asset for the Barony. But we still have money.

A&S

Next A&S night 8/8 will consist of working on making site tokens for Cattle Raids and helping Vasilla work on tabards for Mikhail’s Pelican ceremony.
8/22 will be a Cattle Raids work night.

Chronicler

Herald

introduced deputy, John Richard a former Mag Moron who has returned. Rosa stated he knows a LOT about heraldry.
There will be a herald’s point at Cattle Raids. If you have any announcements that need to be delivered to the populace during Cattle Raids be sure to get them to herald’s point.

Armoring Still meeting on Tuesday evenings at Thedrich and Zvonimira’s. Please call first to confirm.
Scribes will be meeting 8/18, 8/31 7:30-10pm at Isabeau and Carlo's house
Music will be practicing 8/10 and 8/31 at Volkmar and Isadora’s house
Brewers will be having a Honey Mead 101 class for all those interested on 8/4 at Isabeau and Carlo's house. From 6-10 pm. Bring chairs to sit on, a side to share and something to grill. For a list of items to bring for brewing check out the Runestaff. Please note that Kirk at Kirk’s Brewery 10th and Cornhusker has the supplies you need. Just mention the SCA and he will give you a discount.
Middle Eastern Drumming will be having their first practice on 8/7 starting at 7:30 at Marianna & Scipio’s house. There will also be a planning session.
Keep currently working on Big Red Welcome which will be the Sunday before UN-L starts in the fall.

Baronage report

Baronial A&S championship will be on October 28th. Still need an event steward. Master Demetrius will be in attendance. He will be have an A&S competition…Any thing Byzantine (documentation is highly encouraged).
Looking for new Gold Key and Crash Space coordinators. If interested please let Their Exellencies or Sabi know.
Her Excellency Calien requests that you give her a list of items you need from the storage unit for Cattle Raids ASAP.
His Excellency Callaghan gave a report on the Outland’s 20th Anniversary event. Marianna and Scipio attended the event with him. The weather was a wonderful 80 degrees, down to 40 at night. The altitude was some 9,000 feet making it difficult for some to breath. His Excellency was given the name “flatlander” as he could only fight a couple of fights before he was completely out of breath. The Canton of Hawks hollow plans on having a contingency at Conquistador’s Folly, both archers and fighters.

Cattle Raids:

There will be a walk-through of site on 8/17. If interest meet there at 6:30..
Schedule for the day is still pending Their Majesties schedule for the day.
There has been on ok for the leg cannon that was used at Lilies to be fired at the event. No other weapons of this nature are allowed. This is by special permission only.
The prizes for archery have been purchased.
We have 293 mini bi-colored suede bags to use as site tokens. Come to A&S night and help put the draw strings in them.
