Officers reports

Herd Master is coming up in April. Date to be determined by autocrat and Baronage. editor’s note: April 12th is a possible date. An Autocrat is needed. bids are due by 2/27/08 to the Seneschal or to Their Excellencies This is an easy event to autocrat. Can be done in a park. HL Osrik will be in charge of the championship tourney, Lady Gyda will be in charge of the Herd Driver tourney and Lord Bristol will be in charge of the marshaling.
Cattle Raids is coming up August 23, 2008. An Autocrat is needed for this event. We are penciled in at 2 sites: Izaak Walton where we had the event the last 2 years, and Riverside Park where we are holding Crown. The archers vote for somewhere other than Izaak Walton. Countess Isadora reported that there are several possible places to set up archery at Riverside Park. Bids are due to Sabi or Their Excellencies by May 7th.
An autocrat is also needed for Crown tourney May 2, 2009. Bids are due to the Crown by May 3, 2008. We are penciled in at Riverside Park. Please put your bids together and turn them into Sabi or Their Excellencies by March 20, 2006. This gives the finance committee time to look over the bid before it is due.
JAV should be May 17, 2008. Be thinking about what you want to do for it. More info to come

The next A&S night will feature Master Mikhail talking on period tattooing practices. This will by January 30 at 7pm
editor’s note Febr 6 will be Heraldic names.
Mistress Vasilla is looking for a deputy. This would be a one year commitment and involve helping coordinate A&S classes for Mag Mor. Interested parties should contact Vasilla directly.

The next Runestaff will be out March 1, 2008. Deadline for this issue is February 27, 2007. Guilds, interest groups and officers please get your information to Lady Aibhilin on time.
Articles and artwork are needed. If you do not have time to write an article then we can do an interview. Contact Lady Aibhilin with your ideas.

Winter War Maneuvers went well, no major injuries. One gal got the wind knocked out of her but was back up and fighting within 5 minutes. No major complaints about the site except the concessions. HE Callaghan will be talking with Wesleyan about booking for next year.

HL Robert is looking for a replacement. If you are interested in being the next Archery marshal please let Robert, Sabi or Their Excellencies know.

Winter War Maneuvers made a profit of $50. There were 121 adults present, 21 were nonmembers.

Scribes Upcoming meetings will be 2/8 and 2/18 starting at 7:30pm at Lord Carlos’ apartment. They will be working on Baronial scrolls. Kingdom scrolls will not be needed until the new ones are out. Lord Carlos’ presented an idea he has for JAV this year. The scribes will be making scrolls to sell at JAV. The text was passed around and discussed. Let it be proclaimed throughout the great prairie that is Mag Mor that We, Callaghan and Calien, by the hands of Their Royal Majesties made Baron and Baroness, do give _____________ by virtue of their participation in the events of this day, the right to be addressed as "milord" or "milady" without let or hindrance from anyone for the duration of this faire. Done this 17 day of May while sitting on our thrones beside the fruitful vines of James Arthur Vineyard. Callaghan and Calien will be changed out for the names of the new Baron and Baroness. Scrolls will most likely be sold for $5 each.

Musicupcoming practices will be 2/7, 2/21, 3/6, 3/20, 4/3 and 4/17 at 7:30pm. All practices will be at Graf Volkmar’s except the first one of the month which will be in conjunction with the Scarlet Keep meeting on campus. The 3/6 practice will be without Mistress Gwyneth as she will be out of the country.

Middle Eastern Drummingupcoming practices will be 2/28, 3/13, 3/27 at Lady Marianna’s house. Extra drums are needed or large (empty) metal coffee cans with plastic lids. The 2/28 practice will be in conjunction with the Scarlet Keep meeting on campus

Looking to have a Estrella War pity party either 2/16 or 2/17. All activities are welcome. It will just be a day to be togher.

TE did not want any member of the populace to be taken by surprise when it is announced this weekend at Queen's Prize that they will be stepping down. When they stepped up at Lilies they promised to reign for at least 2 years. When they step down it will be only a month short of 3 years. editor’s note: HUZZAH on a job well done. Date to remember...letters of intent are due to TRH by 2/12/08, comment letters from the populase are due to TRH prior to them leaving for Gulf Wars on 3/10/08. Interviews will be held at the spring event 4/5 which is now " Leonardo da Vinci Event" in Shadowdale Iowa City, IA. The new baronage will be announce during court at this event. TE Calien and Callaghan will then be stepping down at Spring Fling in Lonely Tower on May 10, 2008. Please consider putting in your letter of intent to be the newest Baron and Baroness of Mag Mor. The comment letters from the populase are also very important to help TRH get to know the canidates so please remember to send yours in when we find out who the canidates are.

Natalya noted that we have been asked to do a Cub Scout demo at Sheridan Lutheran church on 2/18 at 6:15pm. More info to follow on the list.

Keep is looking to do a fabric store field trip tentatively 2/9. Looking for people to go along to point out what to buy and not buy.

Countess Isadora is preparing her teams for Crown. Please volunteer to help out. She passed around sign up sheets.
