NEWS FLASH

Officers reports

Seneschal:

• HE Callaghan stepped up and volunteered to autocrat Crown Tourney 2009 if no other member of the populace volunteered. Eulilia has agreed to be the feastacrat. The bid from 2008 is being reworked to be presented to the finance committee so that the bid can be presented to TRM by Crown 2008.
• Interviews of the Baronial canidates and the announcement of our new Baronage will take place on April 5 at the Leonardo da Vinci event in Shadowdale.
• Herd Master is April 13…due to Parks and Rec changing their plans as to when they would be opening up the restrooms at Tierra Park the event will be moving to Antelope Park shelter #1. Enter Antelope park from A street and take your first left. The shelter will be the first shelter you come to. It is right across from Auld Pavilion and close to the large playground area. We will have electricity but only 2 plugs. I will be bringing a couple of power strips with me. Donations for site will be taken at Moot April 9th and 23rd. HL Osrik will be in charge of the championship tourney, Lady Gyda will be in charge of the Herd Driver tourney and Lord Bristol will be in charge of the marshaling.
• Crown Tourney 2008 is May 3. More later
• Bids are due for Cattle Raids to Sabi or Their Excellencies by May 7th. Event is August 23, 2008.
• Baronial Investiture will be at Spring Fling in Lonely Tower May 10.
• JAV May 17, 2008. Be thinking about what you want to do for it. More info to come. Have not heard from Katalina yet but Vasilla will again be the people wrangler for our stuff. Let her know what you want to do.
• We have a new Minister of Youth-Eulilia.

Treasurer:

• HL Natalya turned a check for $50 that we received from the Cub Scout demo we did at Roper. We had 4 fighters and 4 nonfighters present at the demo. Viljahmer reported from is coworker, who is the Cub Master that the boys really enjoyed it. Well done and Thanks given from the Seneschal.

A&S:

• 4/2 Historic tents by Vasilla
• 4/16 how to layout a scroll (designing scrolls) by Sabi
• 4//30 rest
• 5/7 Roman Garb by Calien
• 5/21 Roman Shoes still need instructor

Knights Marshal:

• Fighter Practice continues on Tuesdays @M&N building from 7-9pm. Non-fighters are welcome to come and farble.
• Count Angelo reported that they are wanting to do more drills during practice and that there will be more pick-up fights at events.
• The university is done with the semester in May, fighter practice will be moving outside then.

Archery Marshal:

• Archers will be looking to move outside in May. Site to be determined.
• HL Robert is still looking for a replacement. If you are interested in being the next Archery marshal please let Robert, Sabi or Their Excellencies know. You do not need to be currently a warranted archery marshal but to have to be willing to be come a marshal in training.

Chronicler:

• Deadline is April 28th..
• Articles and artwork are needed. If you do not have time to write an article then we can do an interview. Contact Lady Aibhilin with your ideas.

Baronage report:

• Extent thanks from TRM for the comments and letters received from the populace concerning the candidates for Baronage.
• HE Calien reported the Cody, from Keep is a potter and wishes to make pitchers for the Baronage. It was discussed that maybe just a couple of pitchers for head table wouldn’t be enough. Talked about how to store and transport a lot of pottery pitchers. HE Calien stated she would relay this information to Cody.

Guilds:

• Scarlet Keep Pewter Casting 3/27
• Scribes Need to make new Kestrel Scroll designs. Sabi is working on them. Also working on scrolls for JAV.

Interest Groups:

• Middle Eastern Drummingis going on hiatus until fighting moves outside.

miscellaneous:

• Crown Tourney May 2-4, 2003 Countess Isadora
  
  • This will be the 50th Crown tourney in Calontir. TRM wish to have a regalia display. Vasilla will be in charge of this along with A&S activities.
  • Sashatec and Kat are taking care of the Inn. Calontir's Cooks Guild has stated they would serve a snack in the afternoon.
  • Mistress Gwyneth has scheduled pre-cooks for Saturday 4/19 starting at noon and on Sunday 4/27 starting at 1.
  • The feast has a theme...Tasty yes, but is it period. There will be a competition during feast to identify the dishes that are period and not period.

• Lilies
  
  • sign up with Ailis for troll shift which is the first SATURDAY from noon until midnight.
  • Plans are in the works for the food during the Gladiator tourney.
  • Sashatec reported that Osrik has lined up 2 sets of male wrestlers and 2 sets of female wrestlers for the Gladiator tourney.

• Fire Guild
  
  • Will be having work nights to make the tabs that can be worn on the arm of our supporters. Dates to be announced.
  • sign up with Gyda for troll shift with the Fire Guild which will be on the first SUNDAY noon to midnight.

• Emelye reported that Dolan from Lonely Tower has invited us up to his place for a Bardic night 3/31/07, see Emelye if interested in going
• Margrethe Sifritsdottir of Helsinor and Sean Faelan MacDonald were present at the meeting. They played with us many many moons ago. Please welcome them back.
• There were 24 members of the populace present at Moot this evening. Meeting closed at about 8:25pm.
• The Mag Mor players rehearsed shortly after the meeting.
