Seneschal: Officers reports due 7/15

MoAS:

• Sashatec will be facilitating Moot this evening.
• All officer reports for the 2nd Quarter are in! Thank you officers!
• There will be a Financial Committee meeting following Moot
• Moot will start meeting at the Walt Library (corner of South 14th and Pine Lake Rd) as of August 2

Pursuivant:

• Morag read some commentary regarding Lord Lyon Herald (Scotland's Laurel Sovereign in the modern world) regarding the comparison in jobs between Lord Lyon and our own Laurel Sovereign.
• The name for the Canton of Bull Pytt passed as Canton of Bull Pitte.

Chronicler: Deadline for submissions for the August Runestaff is corrected to July 22

Treasurer:

• Kingdom A&S Championship and Tri-levels still needs judges. If you know anything about anything, please consider going and judging.
• For competitions that provide the little comment notebooks...write in them! Entrants treasure these comments, hints and suggestions.

Demo Coordinator: (editor's note: this was missed at the meeting but I felt it should be included here)

• Boy Scout Jamboree on August 21. 9:00 to 2:30 at Pioneers Park. Leofwyna will be doing a cooking demo and Ktalina will be demonstrating basketry. Let Katalina know what you can do. This demo is personnel intensive so any contribution is welcome.
• Big Red Welcome on Auguste 22. Time to be announced. Only need one or two baronial members and the recruitment publications. Not personnel intensive! More details to come.

Scribes: We were scheduled to paint on Aug 10, however, given the amount of surplus scrolls we have, Scribes is on hiatus until further notice.

Music: Music will meet at Volkmar and Isadora's house on Thursday, July 22, at 7:30. August's dates will be the 12th and 26th.

Baronage:

• Vasilla's Largess Challenge - Vasilla is providing a HUGE prize for the winnner of the Largess Challenge to be held at Coroantion. Make as many of a doobus as you can. Judging will be populace choice so you'll want to out-do the baroness in amount and splendor! Largess will be given to Their Majesties in evening court.
• Lots of new faces at Fighter Practice. This is a very good thing! Also, Their Highnesses, HE Aleksander and HE Iamys plan to attend this week.
• Make sure to enter the Baronial A&S Competition. You could use your Kingdom A&S item(s) or even some of your largess challenge pieces.
• We need to find a date and place for the Baronial Archery Championship. We'd like to have this in late September or early October at the latest. Calien will check with Alatheia about the possibility of getting use of a range during Conquistador's Folly. We'll want an event steward if Conquistador's doesn't pan out so be thinking about offering to do this. We'd like something similar to Herd Master if it is not held at Conquistador's.

Coronation:

• Sabi is working on childrens' activities currently. Muirne has offered to head this for the day. Sabi is looking for commitments from teenagers to provide childcare and entertainment during Court (both morning and evening). Arthur and Rayya have already volunteered but we need more.
• Aelfstan is still working on additional parking lots for the day (we currently have the 2 Masonic lots). He may need additional help guarding the lots the day of.
• A listing of local and nearby hotels/motels will be on the Coronation website in the next day or two. If you have crash space you can offer, please contact Tamison asap. Encourage your crashing guests to carpool to site to conserve parking.
• The A&S Competition will be "East meets West". The Coronation website has the details.
• Katalina is the merchant coordinator.
• Thomas volunteered to be Sabi's "legs" should she need assistance the day of (due to a possible pending foot surgery)
• Gwyneth will be having some pre-cooks. With the consent of those in attendance, she determined that she will schedule them for A&S nights. They will either be held at Calvary United Methodist or at Gwyneth's house.

Financial committee: to meet on 7/20 after regular meeting to discuss funding of Inn, and other issues.

Baronial Arts and Sciences event:

• Need a morning Troll person (Kat volunteered)
• Need kitchen clean up help (Vasilla and Gwyneth volunteered to head this up. Sashatec also volunteered)
• Enter Enter Enter! Judges will be very fair. Remember there are 3 levels you can enter.
• Date of the event is August 7

Crown Tourney 2005: Mag Mor is on the rotation for putting in a bid for Crown for May 2005. Be thinking about possible sites for this. His Highness has indicated special preference for those bids that feature a castle on site. (This is a joke...but if you can find one, you'll become famous in Calontir!)

Period Tent: If anyone has a period tent that is no longer useable, please let Calien know. She has an idea for an archery shoot that involves shooting arrows inside the tent.

That's the end of the Moot minutes. The following is the items worked on by the Financial Committee:

• Donation for Barony of Lonely Tower's approved for $200 for their years of participation in the James Arthur Vineyard demos. To be given during the next baronial court opportunity.
• Donation for the summer church Moot/A&S site approved for $100 for June and July combined.
• Tableclothes for Coronation (rental) - this is already in the event budget. Item removed from agenda.
• Coronation Inn - contacted Isabeau and obtained her agreement to head the Inn. Ilyana released from this responsibility (so she can concentrate on her final exams instead). Isabeau to provide a budget proposal for the Inn at the next Financial Committee meeting.
• Kingdom Tithe approved for $250 to be given at Coronation.
