Officers reports

Seneschal:

• Officer’s reports are due October 15. Remember to give me a copy as well so that I can get my report in on time.
• I am reviewing with Sir Angelo the available magmor.net email addresses so that we can include them in the Runestaff.

Treasurer

• The signature card is being updated.
• Cattle Raids made a profit of $750

A&S

• Next week (Oct. 10) is JM and his pouch making class. He has some cloth that can be used. Contact him to find out what you need to bring.
• Our new Minister of Arts and Science is HL Baroness Vasilla. She will take office at the Baronial A&S championship, October 28.

Marshal:

• Currently we are working on securing an indoor fighting site. We are unable to use the M&N building on Wednesday evenings.
• We are looking at using the M&N building on Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm. A new insurance certificate is needed prior to using the facility.
• Fighter practice will continue outside at Pioneers park on Wednesday 10/4 and 10/11 at 6pm and on Sunday 10/8 and 10/15 from 3-6pm
• A possible alternate indoor site is the Easterday Rec center.
• (editor’s note: The new fighter marshal is Lord Bristol de Bruis. The official change over will happen at Baronial A&S, 10/28/06.)

Archery Marshal

• Practice will continue on Tuesday evenings at 9pm through the month of October. Then in November we will be moving to Wednesdays, time to be announced.

Herald

• Several people are working on their name and device submissions. Contact Lady Rosa if you want to work on yours.

Chronicler

• Runestaffs were passed out.
• This is the first issue for our new Chronicler, Lady Aibhilin. If you find any errors please let her know.
• Will be contacting people for articles and art work.
• Deadline for the next issue is at Baronial A&S October 28.

Interest groups

• Keep Last week they had a t-tunic making night. T-tunics were made for about 12 freshmen. Music was well received on 9/29 and they are looking forward to singing again on 10/5. On 10/12 Keep invites everyone to join them for Dance night. They will be meeting in the Colonial room starting at 8pm. Come and learn some Medieval dances.
• Music will be practicing 10/5 at 7:30 in the Union on UN-L city campus. This is just prior to Scarlett Keeps meetings. Look at bulletin board to verify room
• Scribes will be meeting 10/6, 10/20 and possibly 10/27 7:30-10pm at Isabeau and Carlo's house
• Middle Eastern Drumming will be meeting 10/9 and 10/23 starting at 7:30 at Marianna & Scipio’s house.
• Bead Making Had 2 members of the populace come over on 10/1 to learn to make beads. Contact Lady Sabi to set up time.

Baronage report

• Note to new officers: get a copy of your letter of intent, driver’s license and membership card sent to your superior so that you are warranted.
• December 3rd or 4th will be the date of Yule Court.

Baronial A&S

• If it is sunny fighting will happen outside.
• A&S championship:
  -Must have 2 different entries, do not have to be 1 art and 1 science.
  -Written documentation is not a must have but be prepared to discuss your entry.
  -If you know you are entering please let Mistress Gwyneth know by 10/15 so she can set up judges.
• Fighting tourney
  -There will be a consort tourney were the consorts will be the Grim Reaper and get to throw the finger of death.
• Brewing competition
  -volunteers are needed for tasting judges. If interested let HL Theron know.
  -extra points will be given if the brew is black or orange in color.
  -it will be a taster’s choice competition.
• site fee will be a strongly suggested donation of $3 per individual or $5 per family.

miscellaneous:

• HL Sashatec reports that our villaged has been pillaged and almost burned out. All the Master craftsmen have been removed. What remains is 6 sheep, some fat and some clay.
  Come to Master Gerald's farm, Cedarwood Farm on April 21, 2007 for the PILLAGED VILLAGE event. Come and rebuild what was lost.
  This will be a 2 day, hands-on, ground-up event for all interested artisans.
  The plan is to work with making soap, felt, wool, and wood.
  There will be a documentation competition. Bring the documentation for your dream project. More info to come.
  

• HL Natalya will be sponsoring a show and tell at 12th Night. Bring your stuff to 12th Night, display it and tell all about it.

summary:

• Moot will continue on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 for November and December. Starting in January Moot will move to Wednesday evenings.
• Archery will continue on Tuesday evenings for the month of October then in November will move to Wednesday, time to be announced.
• Fighter practice will move indoors and to Tuesday evenings starting soon. Time and location to be announced.
