Moot Minutes

Officers:

Seneschal: One letter of intent for the seneschal position has been received. Calien will be talking to the Kingdom Seneschal and TE's and she will be speaking with the applicant, Sashatec, to finalize things prior to official announcement.

Calien and TE's are taking suggestions for a change in location, day of the week, and time for Moot. Moot will be separated from Fighter Practice.

Chronicler: The April Runestaffs are now available. The deadline for submissions for the May issue is April 28.

Pursuivant: No report.

MoAS: RUSH was great. There was good representation of the barony there. Looking ahead, our baronial A&S will be coming this summer. Judges are being "wrangled". Sashatec is considering getting a 15 passenger van for a group convoy to Kingdom A&S Championship and Tri-Levels and is looking to have many Mag Mor entries.

Treasurer: Theron taught a treasurers' class at RUSH that was well received.

Marshal: the 10/11 Sports Challenge with Kyle Delia is tentatively scheduled for April 18 beginning at 4:30 at the regular Moot site. The challenge will be held in the park. If you can fight or spectate, please come in garb.

Fighter Practice: The deadline for submitting suggestions for locations, day-of-the-week and time is April 16. The practice will official switch to the new site the first practice of May.

Baronage:

• We need Cattle Raids bids. Date reserved with Reeve is Sept 17, 18, 19. Dead line for bids is April 30.
• We need bids for Baronial A&S which is scheduled for July 17. Sashatec and Sabi are coordinating the competition, but we need an event stewart to handle the rest of the event. Deadline for bids is April 30. Baronial A&S will require 1 art and 1 science (category to be determined by entrant). Sciences will be judged using the Miscellaneous criteria from the newly written Kingdom Criteria. Arts will be judged using the Miscellaneous criteria from the previous version of the Kingdom Criteria. See Sabi or Sashatec for details. Former winners are challenged to encourage 10 entries from other members of the barony. (Editor's note: Remember that members from the Bull Pytt are eligible to enter as well.)
• TE's will be mailing reminders for Herd Master shortly. Postcards are currently being designed.

Guilds:

Music: Working on JAV music. Every Thursday in April, and every Thursday in May up to JAV (Editor's note: this was left on from last week's Moot)

Scribes: Meeting every 2nd and 4th Thursday at Sabi's house and after every Moot until Lilies. (Editor's note: this was left on from last week's Moot)

Events:

Spring Fling: Barony of Lonely Tower, April 24 (Editor's note: this was left on from last week's Moot)

Herd Master: Barony of Mag Mor, April 25 (Editor's note: this was left on from last week's Moot)

Miscellaneous:

• No Moot Next Sunday (April 10); it's Easter!
• Determined that we'd like to see if we can have the Thursday noon to midnight shift for Lilies Troll. Vasilla will contact Rosaleen of Aberdeen to schedule this.
• Lilies shower bench construction volunteers so far: Callaghan, Volkmar, Mikhail
• Saturday night: Sashatec's Birthday Party! Bring an international food to share. Please no gifts or cards, just food and readiness to have fun. It will be held at Sashatec's house. Please contact him for directions.
