Seneschal:

We are looking for a replacement for the Chatelaine. If interested, please give your letter of intent to Sashatec no later than Aug. 1.
Mag Mor was approached about handling the Pennsic Cocktail Party for Calontir. We said thanks, but no. Iowa is now handling the party.
Looking for a deputy seneschal. Please give letters of intent to Sashatec and Their Excellencies

The event that was originally opposite of Cattle Raids has been cancelled. We are currently the only thing on the calendar for that weekend.

Treasurer:

There was a meeting with the Kingdom Exchequer during Lilies. The main thing is new reporting forms for treasurers.

Scribes:

Next meeting will be July 8 (Friday) at 7 p.m. at Carlos and Isabeau's house. Carlos will contact the scribes by phone regarding the meeting following Friday.

The fighter practice for July 31 will be in conjunction with the July 31 revel being hosted by Zvonimira and Thedrich at their farm. JM will have someone marshal that day. Fighting to be at normal 3-6 p.m. Also, there will be a day of archery shooting and an evening grill out (bring something to grill). Additional details will be announced shortly.

Minister of Arts & Sciences:

Last meeting we talked about dying silk, and how to improve our arts & sciences demos. Be educational about your craft, not the SCA during a demo. Teach about the technology, not the SCA application of it.
Next A&S night is a demo at Walt Library (6:30 - 8:00 p.m.).
July 26 - Brianna and possibly Isabeau will be teaching how to sew a rolled hem (for veils).
Aug 9 - Natalya will be talking about melodrama & wandering theater (bad jokes, story lines, etc.), good stuff for demos!
Aug 23 - Nothing scheduled due to Cattle Raids.

Demo Coordinator :

July 12 - Walt Library, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Fighting and A&S both needed.
July 16 - Bennett Martin Library, 2:30 - 4:00 p.m., A&S demos needed
July 21 - Gere Library, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m., A&S demos needed
Aug 8 - Witherby Neighborhood Association, all day at Woods Park. Fighter practice for Aug 9 is being switched to this date to accommodate the demo. Things like Fiber Guild, Scribes, Music, etc. are all welcome. There is no main schedule, but we as a barony will schedule certain activities in order to make sure we have a good "show". Further details will be announced at the next Moot regarding specific times for the event.
Unofficial demos (non-SCA sanctioned): July 18 - Milford Ren Faire (talk to Sashatec if you want to attend); July 26 - Syracuse Library demo 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.; Sept 24 - Syracuse Germanfest.

Music:

Rehearsals will be held on July 14, 28, and Aug 11. Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. at Volkmar and Isadora's house.

Baronage:

Is Mag Mor interested in cohosting Kingdom Arts & Sciences Championship & Tri-Levels in 2006 with Lonely Tower? After discussion, yes, we are interested. Sashatec has a line on a possible site in Lincoln.
We have officially been switched on the Crown/Coronation rotation for bids for 2006. We need to submit a bid for May 2006 Crown no later than September Coronation 2005. (This leaves us free to have Cattle Raids 2006 in September instead of having to bid for the September 2006 Coronation.)
Officer reports are due soon! Get them in.
The timing of the Baronial Arts & Sciences Championship will be announced at the next moot.

Cattle Raids:

Still need to fill in a few key staff positions: Land Steward, Merchant Coordinator, Hall Steward, Kitchen Clean-up Coordinator. Please volunteer or Vasilla will come and twist your arm. (editor's note: Eulalia has offered to be hall steward).
Items needed: Sunshade for Archery (Carlos & Isabeau will supply large shade for this), Sunshade for Kitchen (Carlos & Isabeau have a smaller one that can be used), Tent for TRM's privy chamber, Tent for TRH's privy chamber.

Miscellaneous:

Vasilla has linen swatches from her California source given to her by Rigela & Alan of Darkdale. She will pass around and let folks place orders. She will be sending in the order on July 15. She'll also have the swatches at Fighter Practice tomorrow evening. $4/yd for the regular linen. She'll get pricing on the embroidered linen if anyone is interested. Shipping has been running about 15% of the price of the order.
Wednesday evening (tomorrow), we will again attempt to take the children to the new Sprayground at Woods Park during fighter practice. If you want your little one to join in, bring them in a swimsuit with $2.50 for the admission fee no later than 6:45 p.m.
