Moot Minutes

7 June 2005

Seneschal:

• After Lilies War, the barony is leasing a storage unit at the facility on 14th & Cornhusker. The Seneschal and the Baron/Baroness will have keys to it. It will be accessible 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to dusk. The cost to the barony is $45 a month (this is the discounted price for paying for 6 months in advance). There will be an inventory taken prior to loading the unit and a check-in/check-out system so we know where things are and what we have. If you have baronial items, please drop them off after Lilies to either Sashatec's house or Calien & Callaghan's house. They will be organizing and creating the inventory lists and determining the shelving required based on what is dropped off. Callaghan will be creating the shelving and Theron will be supplying some pallets for the floor to keep things off the floor.
• Gwyneth will continue to store the baronial non-perishable foods at her house. She has a listing of these items so if you are preparing baronial foods (for Mag Mor parties/feasts/etc.) please contact her for needed ingredients before buying anything. She may have just what you need.
• JAV was a roaring success. Thank you Katalina for doing such a marvelous job!
• New recruits are being followed up on very effectively this past month. Thank you particularly to Angelo, Jane and JM for the Sunday fighter practices and the revel. Everyone who came had a fantastic time!
• Following Lilies, we'll have a heavy demo schedule, but we'll address that after Lilies.
• There will be a Financial Committee meeting immediately following Moot to discuss Jane's Mag Mor Library proposal (quorum is present).

Pursuivant:

• There will be a heraldic consultation table at Lilies starting Monday and running through Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. This is a great place to get ideas for heraldry.

Marshall:

• There will be NO FIGHTER PRACTICE on June 12 (Sunday), June 15 (Wednesday), and June 19 (Sunday) due to Lilies War.

Chronicler:

• Deadline for the July Runestaffs is 6:00 p.m. June 30. Vasilla no longer needs pointed eye-contact with this information.
• Runestaffs for June are now available.

Baronage:

• Passed out Mag Mor Activities schedule to everyone going to Lilies. This includes extra items of interest such as order meetings. For those with the paper copy, the Laurel meeting is 10:30 on the first Sunday.
• Will be borrowing some of the Mag Mor serving dishes on Sunday and Friday for the Archery and Fighting Pas d'Armes, respectively.
• Discussed plan for the baronial investiture. Click here for details.
• Confirmed that we will not be bringing any barriers/bridges/list fields to Lilies.
• Callaghan and Calien request that an 8 -10 foot wide path be maintained between the Rental Tent and everyone's personal tents from the road to the back of the Mag Mor camping area to allow late comers to get equipment in more easily. This will also aid us during the Mag Mor party.
• Information about the Party will be handed out on site through various means to potential party guests.
• Next Moot will be heavy on Cattle Raids prep.

Music:

• Next rehearsal will be June 30 at Volkmar and Isadora's.

Miscellaneous:

• Financial Committee approved at the May 31 Revel: Bid for Baronial Storage Unit: $45 per month. Bid for Cattle Raids by Vasilla: $1500.
