Moot Minutes
9 May 2004
Officers:
Seneschal:
- Callaghan has purchased the wood for the shower benches for Lilies. He will
be cutting the wood and handing it off to Volkmar for assembly this week.
- Letters of Intent for the MoAS position are due May 29.
- Bids for Cattle Raids and/or Coronation are due May 16.
- There will be a Financial Committee Meeting following Moot this evening.
- Letters of Intent for the Keeper of the Directory position are due May 16.
Chronicler: New Runestaffs are available. Next deadline for submissions
is May 26.
Pursuivant: Morag will be passing around volunteer sign up sheets in
the next couple of weeks for Lilies.
MoAS:
- Get working on your Baronial A&S entries! You'll need one art (judged
under the old criteria) and one science (judged under the new criteria). Judging
will be done by outside judges and everything will use the Miscellaneous criteria.
- Kingdom A&S Championship and Tri-Levels: this is "our war"
and an excellent event. Plan on going. Sashatec is looking into the possibility
of having a van and driver to take us and daytrip the event if there's enough
interest.
Treasurer: 51 people signed in at the gate for Herd
Master. We took in $143.21 in donations for the Moot/Fighter Practice site costs.
Directories are available for $1 each.
Marshal: Fighter Practice is still at Easterday. The
contact at City of Lincoln was on vacation last week and has not responded yet
to Callaghan. Callaghan will call fighters if anything changes for this week.
The tabard design for the Lilies Pas has been determined. Angelo
has the design if you need it. This was determined at the Crodh Catha meeting
at Herd Master.
Demo Coordinator:
- James Arthur Vineyard: Passed around sign up sheets. Katalina will be requesting
tents and sunshades (you will need to give her dimensions of your structure).
Lists of the schedules will be posted so everyone knows when to be where.
Jacob will pick up 2 of the McDonald water jugs full of ice for the demo.
If you have additional jugs you can lend, please feel free to do so. Bring
them with ice only and we'll add water at site. Don't count on the availability
of the gator carts to help haul stuff (wagons are a good option if you can
fit one in). Try to set up as much as possible Friday evening. Site will be
open noon to 6 on Friday, but we'll probably be able to stay later than that.
Site will probably not be open until 9 a.m. Saturday (although Katalina will
try to move this time back to 8 or so) so the more we get put up on Friday,
the better. We must be completely set up by 11 a.m. Saturday.
- Boy Scout Jamboree, Aug 21: at Pioneer Park. They will probably want mostly
fighting. Katalina will talk to the fighters about this before committing
to it.
- Big Red Welcome: scheduled for Aug. 22. Mostly staffing a booth/table. Not
personnel intensive.
Largesse Coordinator: We'll be assembling neck coolers for Lilies this
evening following Moot.
Baronage:
- Need bids for Baronial A&S today.
- Make sure to send in your Lilies Tent donations. Send them to Kat with a
note of explanation so she knows what the donation is for.
- Anyone who has Sports Challenge footage, please bring it next week so we
can start the process for getting it on DVD.
- Scottish Dancers are looking for people interested in traditional Scottish
dances to join their troupe. They meet most Wednesday nights at 7:00 and further
details can be obtained by calling Vasilla for contact information.
Guilds:
Music: On May 23 at 3:00 there will be a CD concert at St. Mark's
on Campus for Voc Dulci. CANCELLED. Will still have CDs available
at JAV and the concert will be held later this year. Music Guild will meet 7:30pm
on Thursday at Volkmar and Isadora's house.
Scribes: Scribes will be meeting at Sabi's house at 7:00 p.m. on May
20.
Miscellaneous:
Lilies:
- The Ladies of the Rose are sponsoring a Tourney, Isadora is looking to sponsor
2 fighters and an archer.
- Rose in Any Medium also being held at Lilies
- Seneschal Archery Shoot: Calien has signed up Bran, Uluric, Erick, Alys,
herself and Jan or Suko (whichever can make it that day).
King's Company of Archers: Calien has signed up Erik, Alewyn, Uluric
and herself.
Moot site: the libraries are booked until first week of August. First
Tuesday of August we can use the Walt Library if we want. GraMercy Hill was
all morning and afternoon times. We can use St. Mark's on Tuesday nights from
7:30 to 8:45. Bran will also check with Calvary for Tuesdays. Consensus was
that we would opt for Calvary if we can get it for the summer, if not, then
St. Mark's. Once August comes, we'll go to the library. Final determination
will be made at Moot on May 16.
