Here are the twin ovens used for Lilies War 2000. These were constructed of concrete formed over a rebar frame. Mud from the Lilies site was put on the ovens in an effort to hide the concrete and add thermal mass. The ovens worked very well and we had warm bread for the cold, wet mornings and hot dishes for our suppers. Mikhail and Tatjana made a great team with Mikhail stoking the fires and Tatjana making the bread. Faolan and I did our share by washing the dishes.
