Events & Costumes
This photo was taken at a Queen's Prize Tourney. It's a Tournament for artisans who consider themselves novices and do not have a grant-level kingdom award yet. At this particular Tourney, I entered my pipkins and was delighted to have 3 of my clay compatriots judging my wares.
This event was the debut of the "big d*mned hat". It was at a Winter Rush Social held in La Grande Tente. It was also the event where my darling husband proposed to me.... during court...in front of Her Majesty and all my dear friends...on his knees....roses in hand and ring at the ready. There wasn't a dry eye in the place.
At Harvest Faire in La Grande Tente (September 15, 2001), the "Old Dogs" got together for a picture. Here I am with all my compatriots from the old days with me. From left to right: Cecelia, Arianwen, Murdoch, Tatiana, Ilyana, Vlad, Hertha, and Marina (formerly Elena). I'm the brightly colored bird in front.
Here's a nice portrait taken by Hertha at Harvest Faire of our little Russian family.
Here's young Nels working on that standing/walking thing. Soon he'll be old enough to help me in the clay studio! Well, okay, after he learns to not eat the clay....
Here's the start of our day when we celebrated our investiture as Baron and Baroness of Mag Mor. Nels is naturally in his very best outfit, a Russian caftan and footed breeches.
Here I'm waiting for court to begin so I can play my part. Toli is in black ecclesiastical robes. He'll carry the icon before us.
Here Mikhail and I are kneeling as Their Majesties Ariel and Martino place the baronial coronets on our heads.
Now we are swearing our oath of fealty upon the King's Sword.
We are presented to the populace, "Mag Mor, meet your new Baron and Baroness, Mikhail and Vasilla!"
We join Their Majesties in their court.

After our first court (a very short one!), Their Majesties court is closed and we recess. "Long the King! Long Live the Queen! Long Live Mag Mor! Long Live CALONTIR!!!"
