Vasilla is an SCA persona. She was born in 1113 C.E. in Kiev and found herself, as a young adult, in the far away lands of Calontir. In this kingdom called Calontir, she has found many friends who are as eccentric as they are wonderful. She has worked diligently to educate the Calontiri about Russian culture by sewing clothing from her homeland, by telling stories she enjoyed as a child while sitting near the hearth with her siblings, and by using her newly learned skills in pottery to show them what Rus wares look like. When she first came to Calontir, Vasilla lived in the northeastern corner of Calontir in the shire of La Grande Tente where she was welcomed by a band of unruly but loveable heathens. Once she learned their ways, she was given the duties of minister of their arts and sciences. Having proved herself a worthy administrator (after all, she learned at the feet of her noble father, a clever administrator himself) she was given the responsibilities of the seneschale's office. She guided the shire with love and dedication.
After several years, she left the shire for lands to the west, the Barony of Mag Mor. She came to join the household of a tall and handsome boyar who had stolen her heart.
Vasilla has served again in the role of minister of arts and sciences; this time for Mag Mor. Although her tenure as minister has ended, she continues to challenge her barony to strive for personal growth in the arts and sciences. She and the handsome boyar work together to teach Calontir about the beauty of Mother Russia.
